During the latest City Council meeting, a nuisance ordinance was approved. The approved ordinance was introduced by City Manager Ed Sadler based on an existing ordinance in Webster City, Iowa.

The ordinance's enforcement procedure states, upon finding a property that has had three or more cited nuisance activities within a 180 day period that were found to be nuisance violations, a designated officer of the city shall prepare a report outlining the nature of the nuisance activities violations and any other relevant information.
