Lady Raiders down Kimball in season finale

Digs were a big key for Sidney against Kimball Tuesday. Earlier this year, senior Abby Mills make a dig to set up the Sidney offense. Mills and her teammates enter sub-district play Tuesday.

KIMBALL - Sidney's Lady Raiders closed out their season with a tough-fought win over Kimball, as the Lady Longhorns challenged Sidney at every turn Tuesday.

Kimball battled out to a 7-2 lead in the first set and gave Sidney fits clear through the set, with the Lady Raiders trailing until reaching an 18-point tie. Sidney battled on to a 25-21 win, closing the first set on an ace serve by Maddi Porter.

Sidney led most of the second set, jumping out to a 6-2 lead, but Kimball closed the gap in the middle of the set, tying the score 13-13 then battled all the way to the Sidney 25-22 win.
