Dormann invited to play Down Under

Down Under Sports has announced that Connor Dormann from Sidney High School has been invited to represent Nebraska on the 2017 Central Conference Golf Team.

Dormann is currently a junior at Sidney High School and has been on the varsity golf team since his freshman year. He has won two meets, has placed in the top ten in six other meets, and has placed 5th and 6th at the Western Conference Invite. Last year at the B-4 District Golf Meet, Dormann earned 10th place and Sidney, as a team, earned 2nd place to qualify for the Class B State Golf Tournament. As a sophomore, he was selected to the Scottsbluff Star-Herald All-Region Boy's Golf Second Team.

"As Connor's golf coach, I have had the privilege to watch Connor play and practice since he was in junior high. Connor has such a great work ethic and passion for golf." said Chuck Christiansen, golf coach. "He has the ability to be a state champion in the next two years and one of the best golfers to come from Sidney High School. Connor is also a great student and excels in other sports. Sidney High School and myself, as his golf coach, are so proud of this young man. Watch for Connor and the Sidney High School golf team to be a factor at the Nebraska State Golf Tournament this May."
