Library usage runs more toward electronic

Physical attendance and checkouts at the Sidney Public Library continue to go down, but the library’s digital footprint and usage has been growing.

Expounding from there, Sidney Library Director Andrew Sherman also told Sidney city council members at their first meeting of the year that more and more people are using the library’s wi-fi network and computers.

As a result, the wi-fi signal has been strengthened and the computer area has been re-arranged to make use better for privacy.

“Before, when you worked on the computers, you had to do it with someone sitting right beside you,”...
