Council member Mark Nienhueser steps down after accepting position in Omaha

Mark Nienhueser, Sidney city council member, is resigning from the council.

In a letter to Mayor Joe Arterburn, Nienhueser explains he has “accepted a new job opportunity that will require I relocate.” Adding, “My new opportunity will require I start on April 3.”

“Mark has been a very good member of the council,” Arterburn told the Sun Telegraph. “He served as mayor, and has been a good leader throughout his tenure.
