SRMC named Top 100 Critical Access Hospital

Sidney Regional Medical Center has been named a top 100 critical access hospital by iVantage Health Analytics and the Chartis Center for Rural Health.

“We’re very excited about it,” Jason Petik, SRMC CEO, said. “It’s something we’ve talked about internally, something we wanted to achieve, but at the same time we knew if we focused on the quality of the organization, the care of the people, eventually they’ll come around.”

The ranking is based on several criteria: inpatient share ranking, outpatient share ranking, cost, change, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, and financial stability.

“They rank those items and they give all the facilities a score,” Petik said. “All of that data is submitted through SRMC, through Medicare submission, and they do all the comparisons and come up with their top 100.”
