Sidney Seniors putting their game together

For the first time this season, Sidney’s American Legion senior baseball team was able to field nearly its full roster Wednesday as it hosted Bridgeport at Legion Field.

Camps, injuries and the normal range of summer activity had previously prevented all of Sidney’s players from being in the same ballpark at once, and it was a good chance for Coach Ray Witt to get a look at his squad.

“Their timing was off a little bit,” Witt said. “But playing a game like we did, I’m not unhappy.”
