Ewert faces 50 years, minimum 5 years

Sean Ewert, 49, of Sidney, faces 50 years and a minimum sentence of five years on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, a class 1C felony.

Ewert was arrested June 30 as part of a WING taskforce bust at Sidney Post Office.

At Ewert's preliminary hearing Thursday in Cheyenne County Court, Judge Randin R. Roland found there was sufficient evidence for arraignment.

Jim Bush, Sidney Police Department investigator, testified that he met with other officers the morning of June 30 to execute a search warrant at roughly 7:30 a.m.
