Fair 2017 comes to an end

The 2017 Cheyenne County Fair concluded Saturday and it was a success for the area's 4-H youths, Cynthia Gill, extension educator, said.

"Despite the hot temperatures, I think the youths who participated learned a lot and had a good time," Gill said.

This year's highlights include a fashion show, entrepreneurship expo and livestock shows.

"We had about 300 youths participate in this year's fair," Gill said. "It's down slightly from last year but with all that's going on in the community we expected that. I thought the quality of our exhibits was up and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves."...
