Road work planned for Highway 30 and Fort Sidney Road

Commuters in the Sidney area need to watch for alternate routes when entering Sidney from the west on Highway 30.

The intersection of Fort Sidney Road and Highway 30 will be closed for three weeks beginning Aug. 22. Simon Contractors will be constructing new turning lanes and giving the intersection a face lift. Highway 30/Illinois will be open to through-traffic with directional lanes.

Also, the milling process will begin on Aug. 22.
