Darlene Aiko Takahashi Obituary

Darlene Aiko Takahashi, 72, of Bandon Oregon, passed away on June 8, 2017, at Regency Rehabilitation Center in Florence, Oregon, after a long illness.

Ms. Takahashi was a Sensei, third generation Japanese American, born May 6, 1945, at the Minidoka Intemment Camp at Hunt, Idaho. Ms. Takahashi graduated from Sidney High School in 1963 and ranked 10 in her class then attended Business College in Lincoln. Ms. Takahashi had many gifts and talents and was a skilled court reporter. After graduating from Sidney High and moving to Herlong, California, after Sioux Army Depot was closed in 1967. She then served her country in Vietnam, working for the U.S. Army.

Ms. Takahashi is survived by her brother, David, Sister, Cheryl, Son, William Blume, of Portland Oregon, a grandson, Jaden, two nephews, Tyler and Matthew and one niece, Michelle Igel.

Ms. Takahashi was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mable Takahashi, and a brother Jim, who is laid to rest at Green Wood Cemetery in Sidney.
