The Sidney Red Raiders split both contests in the Bill Marshall Volleyball Classic.

In July, the Sidney High School volleyball team was invited to compete in the second Bill Marshall Volleyball Classic at the Nebraska State Fair. In the announcement of Sidney being selected to be part of the tournament, Fair events entertainment direct Chelsey Jungck said the Bill Marshall Volleyball Classic is filled with 23 high school teams and four National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics college volleyball teams.

Sidney played Kearney Catholic and Grand Island Senior High School.
