Peetz football dominates Idalia 60-12

The Peetz Bulldogs dominated the Idalia Wolves Friday, winning the football contest 60-12.

Peetz scored twice with one two-point point-after while keeping Idalia at six for a 15-6 first quarter. The second quarter decided the fate of the game when the Bulldogs earned 30 points while keeping Idalia off of the scoreboard.. Peetz continued the drive in the third quarter, with a touchdown and a two-point conversion while keeping Idalia off of the board. The fourth quarter was almost even as the Wolves earned a touchdown and missed the extra point while Peetz earned a touchdown and an extra point for a 7-6 fourth quarter.

The Wolves had six first downs while the Bulldogs had five. Both teams were penalized twice for 20 yards.

Peetz' Tre Fehringer (senior) completed three of five passes for 46 yards and two touchdowns. As a team, Peetz completed three of seven throws for 46 yards.

Junior Bryson Long carried the ball 13 times for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Sophomore Cooper White carried the ball three times for 63 yards and one touchdown. Two touchdowns were completed in the air. Senior Alex Curlee caught one pass for 10 yards and a TD, and senior Logan Sircy caught one for 21 yards and a TD.

Bryson Long had 18 points in the game, senior Jake Curlee had 12, junior Zachary Holtz 10, senior Alex Curlee six, sophomore Cooper White six, senior Logan Sircy seven. Holtz completed five of six point-after attempts.

Idalia's offense totaled 172 yards; 96 yards rushing, 76 yard receiving and 69 yards in kick returns.
