Peetz Bulldogs Dominate Prairie's Mustangs 56-19

Peetz — The Peetz Bulldogs won big against the Prairie Mustangs in Friday’s home conference matchup. The Bulldogs opened up the game with a 22-0 first quarter and were never seriously challenged throughout the contest.

The Bulldogs played dominant defense allowing the Mustangs only six points in the entire first half.

“If we can maintain that same level of defensive intensity throughout the season, I’ll be very pleased,” said Peetz head coach Sean Fehringer.

Peetz senior Logan Sircy had an outstanding game with 22 points overall. He also hit four three-point shots in a row during the game.

“We’re pleased with where we’re at going into the Christmas break, but we are definitely hoping to get better during the intermission and start off strong coming out in 2018,” said Fehringer.

Lady Bulldogs 26, Prairie 53

The Peetz Lady Bulldogs did not fare as well as the boys against Prairie, losing their contest 53-26. The Lady Bulldogs have been plagued by injuries and sickness during the start of the season, and were unable to match the Lady Mustangs strong performance.

“We tried out a different defense and I was very pleased with how the girls handled it. It was a good way to end the first part of the season,” said the Lady Bulldogs head coach Morgan Meier.
