Marguerite E. Young - Obituary

Marguerite E. Young, age 85 passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Forest Hills Maryland. She was born February 14, 1932 in Eastern Nebraska. She spent her childhood and school years with her Mother, Mary Young and step-father Pete Degeest at Sioux ordinance depot. She briefly lived in Dalton, Nebraska. She married Donald Young November 17, 1958. They lived on a wheat farm west of Gurley, Nebraska. Her husband, Donald passed away in1973. Marguerite moved to Torrington, WY to be near her daughter Ann Prime. At the time of her passing, she lived in Aberdeen, Maryland with her daughter, Ann, and grand daughter, Amanda Singleton, and great grandchildren, London and Katie.

Marguerite loved to go for trips to the mountains. She also was busy caring for her children and attending all of their activities. She loved the holidays and cooked big family dinners.

Marguerite is survived by two step children, Trudy Ketteler (Robert) of Dalton, NE, Monte Young (Susan) of Dalton, her daughter Velda Ann Prime, Aberdeen, Maryland, and her son David Young (Karen), of Hartville, WY. Marguerite has 14 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her mother and step father Mary and Harold Young, one grandchild, Kira Martin, her grandparents Golda and Francis Durham, and one great-grandchild.

Cremation has taken place and memorial graveside services will be at the Dalton Cemetery at a later date.
