Accident Reports

Dec. 28: A Lodgepole, Neb., woman when the 2018 Chevrolet compact utility vehicle she was driving collided with a deer on U.S. Highway 30 at 6 p.m. Carson Faessler, 23, of Lodgepole, was driving east on Highway 30 when the vehicle collided with a deer that entered the road near milepost 65. Front end damage is estimated at $2,000.

Dec. 22: A vehicle driven by a Sidney, Neb., woman went off the road on Cheyenne County Road 16 at 8:45 a.m. after encountering a patch of mud on the roadway. Madelyn Musskohl, 19, was driving a 2007 Nissan Versa four-door sedan east on County Road 16 when the car encountered mud on the roadway which caused the vehicle to skid and exit the roadway by way of the south ditch. The car then came back up onto the roadway before crossing to the north side of the road and into the north ditch, resutling in damage to the front bumper. Damage is estimated at $2,500.

Dec. 22: A Potter, Neb., woman was uninjured when her 1998 Ford ZX2 sedan went off the road at 2:40 a.m. Cassandrala Miller, 28, of Potter, was driving eastbound on Highway 30 when the car went off of the right side of the road near milepost 44 about four miles west and a quarter mile south of Potter. The vehicle then rolled onto its top where it stopped. The car was considered a total loss.
