Economic Forum Set In Gering

Those from businesses, financial institutions, civic and community organizations, educators and government entities are invited to attend an Economic Forum on May 8 at the Gering Civic Center. The event, from 5:45 to 8 p.m., brings those interested together for dinner and to hear from Federal Reserve speakers about:

• economic development trends,

• the agricultural economy, and

• the regional and national economic outlook.

Speakers at the Forum will be Dell Gines, senior Community Development advisor on entrepreneurship-based economic development and Nathan Kauffman, Omaha Branch executive and the Kansas City Fed’s lead expert on the agricultural economy with an update on the regional and national economy .

Economic Forums are an opportunity for the Kansas City Fed to share insights on the economy and also learn about local economic issues in the region. They include presentations from the Kansas City Fed on key regional economic issues and national trends, as well as an update on monetary policy objectives and concerns.

A networking reception and dinner are included. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required by May 2. To register, go to the Fed webpage, https://www.kansascityfed.org/Omaha.
