James Richard Northup - Obituary

James Richard Northup, 80 of Raleigh, died Thursday evening August 23, 2018. Jim was born February 27, 1938 in Las Animas, CO, the son of the late George Everett Northup and Dorothy Marie Monk. He attended high school in Sidney, NE and college at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Jim began his computer career at the FBI in Washington, DC, followed by the US Department of Agriculture, and then spent 30 years at the IBM Corporation. After retiring from IBM, he founded his consulting firm and continued working until the age of 72.
