STUDENTS OF THE MONTH

7th grade - Ty Grunig

Ty Grunig is an excellent student who turns in quality work. He leads by example. Ty encourages others to be and do their best. He is responsible and he takes responsibility seriously. Ty always has the initative to get the job done. He is willing to accept new ideas and is also capable of implementing them. Ty is courteous, kind and respectful. Ty is the son of Keith and Madison Grunig.

8th grade - Mitch Koozer

Mitch has consistently displayed the qualities that we find desirable of a student representing Sidney Middle School Not only does Mitch excel in his academics, he also demonstrates strong leadership qualities with his classmates. He is always wiling to constructively help his classmates and shows kindness when others falter. Mitch, without a doubt, is a hardworking dedicated student. In our experience with Mitch, he has been respectful to teachers and other students. His positive attitude, excellent work ethic, leadership, and patience with others make him an excellent choice for student of the month. Mitch is the son of Chris and Amy Koozer.

9th Grade - Daniel Bashtovoi

Daniel is responsible, helpful and kind. He has always gone out of his way to find out assignments when he misses, helps others who are in cross country and in class, and is always kind to other students. His quiet leadership is noticed daily. Daniel is a great student. Maximum effort is always put into his work and he always follows up with his teachers. He is a member of Ban, Cross Country, BEST Robotics, Student Council and is freshman class vice-president.

10th grade - Jersie Misegadis

Jersie was nominated because of her excellent academic performance and classroom effort/attitude. She comes to class every day with a great attitude and a very diligent work ethic. She is always focused in class and has done a great job leading any group and or class activities that we have had in the first month. She is a member of Science Club, volleyball, basketball, track, CYO church group, and Circle of Friends. Outside of school, she enjoys hanging out with friends, helping others and playing sports. Jersie is the daughter of Jerad and Desteny Misegadis.

11th grade - Jacob Peckham

Jacob was selected because of his leadership/service/citizenship. He is very supportive and helpful in an emergency situation. He is a member of the football, wrestling and track teams. Jacob is the son of David and Shelly Peckham.

12th grade - Macie Rolls

Macie has prioritized her time wisely considering her busy schedule and leadership roles. She's been successful in the classroom but more impressively she's been a generous, thoughtful and respectful person to administration, staff and especially students both in the high school and junior high. Macie has been seen go out of her way to make sure others are having a good morning. Macie will do this not to be seen, but because she is truly a good person. With her academic and athletic demands, her kindness to others is very noticeable and appreciated. She is a member of S Club, Student Council, NHS, class vice-president, basketball, volleyball, track, Science Club and FCA. Macie is the daughter of Scott Rolls and Cindy Rolls.
