Veterans Day Bean Supper

Members of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans and the Fort Sidney Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) are inviting the public to attend a Bean Soup Supper and a DAR Community Service Award Presentation at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11 at the Elks Club, 1040 Jackson St. in Sidney.

The event will begin with the DAR presenting awards to individuals, organizations and businesses who were instrumental in creating, planning and constructing the Legion Park War Memorial and the ongoing maintenance of the flag and site. Immediately following the award ceremony, the traditional Veterans Day Bean Soup Supper will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The event is free of charge. However free will donations for the supper are appreciated.
