High School One-Act Performers Come to Sidney Stage

Sidney High School will host a One-Act Play Festival in the Performing Arts Center Saturday, Nov. 17

Actors from seven schools will present their productions before a panel of judges to receive critiques to prepare them for district competition later this month. No team or individual rewards will be given.

The performance schedule for the one-act festival is as follows:

8:30 a.m. - Gordon-Rushville, “Nicholas Nickleby.”

9:30 a.m. - Leyton, “The 11th.”

10:30 a.m. - Potter-Dix, “Jersey Girls.”

11:30 a.m. - Banner County, “I Never Saw Another Butterfly.”

1 p.m. - Hemingford, “Lagooned.”

2 p.m. - Minitare, “Brothers Grimm Spectacuulathon.”

3 p.m. - “Thge Yellow Boat.”

4 p.m. - Sidney, “Gilligan’s island.”

Performances are open to the public and there is no admission charge.

Sidney High will also be host for the Class B-6 District Play Production Contest on Friday, Nov. 30.
