Miriam Jean Stoll - Obituary

Miriam Jean Stoll passed in peace on Friday, November 18, 2018 at the age of 92. Her friends, family and relatives know her as "Jean".

In the United Methodist Church of Lodgepole, on Friday, November 23rd, the viewing will be held at 10:00-12:00 noon, the lunch for the family, relatives and friends that wish to attend will be from 12:00-1:00, and funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Abbott officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery.

Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home in Chappell is serving the Stoll family.

Jean was born on October 19, 1926, in Columbus Ohio, the daughter of Roy Edward and Otie May (Wibel) Earnhart. She moved with her parents in 1928 to Lodgepole, Nebraska, where she grew up and attended Goodview Consolidated School and later Lodgepole High School.

Jean married Floyd A. Stoll of Lodgepole Nebraska on January 27 1946 at Chappell Nebraska. They lived in California briefly then moved to a farm north of Lodgepole. They raised 3 children, Brent, Rita (Kurtz) and Larry. Jean worked side by side with Floyd, enjoying the farming life and country living. Floyd died on January 26, 1987. She continued to live on the farm until 2008 then moved to Lodgepole.

Jean treasured her family, relatives and community of friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought joy to her heart. Jean was an active member of the Lodgepole Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She sang in the church choir and in Eastern Star, served as Worthy Matron and was honored to serve as a Grand Representative of Connecticut in Nebraska. She enjoyed being a Cub Scout Den mother, Brownie leader and Sunday school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Earnhart, and mother Otie Earnhart, her beloved husband, Floyd Stoll, her loving sister Helen Grandy, her darling grand-child, Brandon Stoll, brother, Bill Earnhart, and baby sister, Barbara Ann. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Brent Stoll (Connie) , Larry Stoll ( Carolyn) and Rita Kurtz (Tom), her sister Pat Rufenaucht, sister-in-laws, Lorraine Stoll, Scott City, Kansas and Karen Stoll, Grand Junction, Colorado, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
