Potter-Dix’s Lady Coyote basketball team has had a tough time finding a win this season.
They dropped their first two games of 2019 by big scores. On Friday, the Lady Coyotes traveled to Bayard and were overmatched from the beginning of the game, getting shut out in the first period en route to a 33-to-2 halftime deficit. The Lady Coyotes could not get any offense going, while the Lady Tigers had no problem beating the Potter-Dix defense and piling up points. The second half saw Bayard score another 23 points while the Lady Coyotes managed one point off of a free throw to end the game with a 56-to-3 score.
Saturday the Lady Coyotes hosted the South Platte Lady Blue Knights, and again found themselves quickly overwhelmed, just scoring one point in the first period and two points in the second to go into halftime trailing 35-to-3.
South Platte scored another 15 points in the second half while the Lady Coyotes manged seven for a South Platte victory, 50-to-10.
