Job Fair Offers New Opportunities for Local Workers

Sandhills Publishing was among the many companies represented at the Job Fair at the Cheyenne County Community Center Wednesday. In all, 20 companies were available to provide information to prospective employees.

Hopefuls flooded the Cheyenne County Community Center Wednesday, where 20 companies had representatives present at a job fair hosted by the City of Sidney's Economic Development department.

On display were the possibilities of jobs across the board – from labor to upper management.

"I think in the first quarter of the year there are going to be a lot of opportunities," said Sidney Economic Development Director Melissa Norgaard. Those opportunities come not only from employers new to Sidney, but a number of those already established.
