Youth baseball umpire instructional clinics are being held in Sidney and Chadron, and any person interested in becoming an umpire for the upcoming baseball seasons is encouraged to attend.
Offered by the Western Nebraska Umpire Association (WNUA), the clinics will be run on May 4 at Fitzgibbons Field in Chadron, and on May 11 at the north field in Legion Park at Sidney. Both clinics run from 9am until 1pm.
These clinics are offered at no charge, and designed to help those new to umpiring learn how to properly officiate a game. Coaches are also encouraged to attend, as rule interpretation...
