Authorities Respond to Self-Inflicted Gunshot Incident

 


Cheyenne County deputies and Sidney police responded to a report of a self-inflicted gunshot victim in the 2200 block of Cheyenne County Road 113 at about 5:22 p.m. May 7.

Upon arriving, deputies found a man lying on the floor in a pool of blood. According to the search warrant, sheriff’s officers observed what appears to be an SKS rifle on the kitchen table. The rifle was secured in the officer’s patrol car, then the victim was assisted until the ambulance arrived.

The gunshot victim was transported to Sidney Regional Medical Center, then to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, C...
