16th Gold Rush Days a Success

Legion Park was busy with activity from staged gunfights to historical accounts of the region when gold was king and the west was wild.

Sidney's 16th Gold Rush Days was held at Legion Park Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 7-9 with displays, music, "cowboy coffee" kids events, displays, vendors at the Shelter House and talks and displays on the Lakota history.

"It went well," said Ken Geu, president of the Gold Rush Committee. "We had a good crowd."
