Sidney's Zach Pettit earned the Sportsmanship Award for the West Team at Saturday's West Nebraska All-Star Football Game. The West Team beat the East Team 6-to-0 in a low-scoring defensive battle.
The annual West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball and Football games were played on Saturday in Scottsbluff, and in both contests the West Team defeated the East Team.
First was the 35th Annual West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Match held in the afternoon at WNCC, with Sidney represented by Payton Jung and Katelyn Sylvester playing for the West Team.
The West team won the contest four sets to one, 25-20, 25-14, 27-29, 25-20, 15-8. Both squads battled throughout the match, but the West Team was able to secure the win helped by Jung's 11 kills and 12 digs, and Sylvester's 15 assists and six digs...
