Almost a month ago, the state of Nebraska was recognized by Area Development Magazine with the Silver Shovel Award. Gold and Silver Shovel Awards are presented to states that rank among the top in the nation for job creation, investment attraction, and industry growth throughout the previous year, according to the Office of Gov. Pete Ricketts. Shovel Award winners are decided based on an assessment of each state's 10 best job creating and investment attraction projects.
