Lodgepole 95th Old Settlers' Days Aug. 31-Sept. 2

The Lodgepole Volunteer firefighters as this year's grand marshal. The department was chosen because of its dedication to serving the community.

The village of Lodgepole is opening its doors and laying down the welcome mats for its 95th Old Settlers' Days with the theme "Honestly - It's For Everyone!"

Events start 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, with the Platte Valley Tractor Pull sanctioned truck and tractor pull. The event will be held on Front Street near the south park; registration and weigh-in starts at 8 a.m.

Also at 10 a.m., golfers are invited to take part in the Old Settlers Golf Tourney. The four-person scramble is limited to 18 teams and costs $250 per team. The golf tourney will be held at the Chappell Golf Course. For more...
