Frank, the son of L.E. and Florence (Renner) Gregg, was born at home in Saint James, TN on June 20, 1925. Frank was inducted into the United States Navy on December 18, 1943 and completed his training at the Amphibious Training facility in Little Creek, Virginia. Frank was a Motor Machinist Mate 3rd class and served in the Pacific fleet on LSM vessels. Frank was honorably discharged on April 27, 1946. Frank married Lee (Simmons) Gregg in Dodge City, KS on April 26, 1949. They moved from Dodge City to Sidney, NE in 1960 where they raised a family of four: Carol, Patricia, Sharon and Lonnie. Frank spent many years working in the oil field as a mechanic and worked for J&M Trucking, Rocky Mountain Trucking, and Adams and Son Trucking.

Frank retired from the oilfield and started work at St. Patrick's church, where he completed 20 years of service. He fully retired at the age of 88 to care for his wife until her passing 5 years ago. Since that time, Frank has traveled to visit family and enjoyed his many visitors at his home in Sidney.

Frank especially enjoyed being around family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was active in church and school activities at St. Patrick's parish. He loved going to coffee every chance he could get and brought visitors along to meet all of his friends. He could fix absolutely anything and even learned how to use the internet in his late 80's and treasured his IPAD.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lee, sister Lillian Dixon, and daughters Carol Gregg and Patricia Klem. He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Gregg and son, Lonnie (Ilsa), his sister JoAnn Peterson and brother Gene Gregg, his grandchildren: Sunny (David Grimes) Knott, Michelle (Martin Humphries) Knott, Danae (Jeremy) Narjes, Kenan and Kalin Gregg, his great-grandchildren: James and David Narjes, Nika and Atlas Grimes, Ada and Arlo Humphries, and numerous nieces and nephews.
