Arlan E. Hartman - Obituary

Arlan E. Hartman, age 85 of Plattsmouth, NE and longtime Sidney, NE resident, passed away Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. CST, Friday, December 6th, in the Masonic Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, NE.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC with the assistance of Roby Funeral Home in Plattsmouth were in charge of Arlan's care and funeral arrangements.

Arlan Elmer Hartmann was born on May 9, 1934 in North Bend, NE to Elmer J. and Lillian R. (Quigley) Hartmann. He attended Elementary Schools in Fremont and Sidney, graduated from Sidney High School and attended a year of college at Midland. Arlan was a longtime resident of Sidney until moving to the Masonic Home in Plattsmouth in January of 2014. He was employed as an assistant to the Therapy Department at the Golden Living Center in Sidney, NE. He was a member of the Light Memorial Presbyterian Church in Sidney.

Arlan became a member of Frank Welch Lodge #75 A.F. & A.M. in Sidney on September 9, 1972 and served as Worshipful Master in 1996. He also held memberships in Oshkosh Chapter No. 264 O.E.S, York Rite in Alliance, Alliance Scottish Rite, and Tehama Shrine of Hastings.

Arlan is survived by two nieces; Karen Marrow and Kristin Flowerday and good friend Paul Sheaman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Janet Lee and husband Wayne Lee Flowerday.
