One-Act Play Team Finishes Third

The Sidney High School One-Act Play Team finished Third out of eight competing schools at the Class B-6 District Play Production Contest held at Sidney High School Dec. 6.

Ogallala was the champion with Chadron as the runner-up.

Finishing in fourth through eighth places were McCook High School, Valentine High School, Mitchell High School, Gering High School and Alliance High School.

Sidney's production of “Super Scary,” a Halloween comedy by Tim Kochenderfer, received three high superior rates from the judges, and seven of their case members were recognized for outstanding performances. Cast members recognized are Hannah Ernst, Eli Hjelm, Jonas Johnson, Mason Nightingale, Sophie Price, Tom Short and Elly Weimer.

Ogallala High School represented District 6 at the Dec. 13 Class B State Play Production Contest held in Norfolk. Only the top play advances to the state competition.
