Nancy A. 'Nanci' Schilling - Obituary

Nancy A. Schilling, age 72, of Sidney, NE passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 in Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 31, 2020 in the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Corey Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-7:00 P.M. to sign Nancy's register book and leave condolences for the family. Nancy A. Schilling was born March 2, 1947 in Denver, CO to Wasco and Eunice (Fuehrer) Faith. The family moved to Peetz when Nanci was a year old. She attended Peetz High School where she was never absent in 12 years. She received a scholarship to Sidney Beauty School in 1965. After completing Cosmetology school, she started her career in Cosmetology in 1966.

On April 8, 1967, Nanci married Jim Schilling in Peetz, CO. To this union one son, Shane, was born in January of 1969. Nancy continued to work as a cosmetologist for several years until her health forced her to quit.

Nanci's hobbies included small animals, cats, watching birds and she enjoyed flowers. It was said that "Nancy raised two kids, Shane and her husband Jim".

Survivors include her husband Jim, son Shane and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Nanci was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Mary.
