Dorwart Appointed to State Board on Aging

Charlotte Dorwart was recently selected as a member of the State Advisory Committee on Aging.

She will be serving on the committee through 2024.

The state is divided into Area Agencies on Aging with eight in Western Nebraska. Each board of county commissioners elects a representative for the local board.

She stressed the need for services to the senior populations, especially in rural areas.

"That is one of the problems," she said, "getting services."

The challenge is keeping people in their homes who can and want to.
