Sidney Juniors Record Two Weekend Losses

The Sidney Juniors record added two notches to the wrong column Sunday, falling to the Chadron Junior Nationals 9-7 Sunday afternoon, then 4-3 later that night.

The Sidney Juniors entered Sunday with an 11-1 record after their 10-0 loss to Alliance on Wednesday, July 15, 10-0 victory over the Sheridan County Regulators and an 11-3 win Saturday over the Alliance FNBO Spartans.

The Sidney Juniors also faced the Sheridan County Regulators Friday, July 17, and played again on Saturday afternoon.

The Sidney Juniors started the season with a 12-3 win over the Bridgeport Bombers on June 18, followed by a 15-8 win over B & C Steel of Gering.

On June 24, the Sidney Juniors big first inning continued their winning streak with their 12-2 defeat of the Bridgeport Bombers. The Sidney Juniors returned to the field on the morning of June 26 to defeat the Junior Legion Western Insurers 16U 10-6, followed by an evening win over the Bridgeport Bombers of 11-3.

The Sidney Juniors continued their winning streak June 28, defeating the Sterling Tigers 10-1.

The Juniors started the month of July with a contest against B & C Steel of Gering on July 1, holding on for a 6-5 victory.

The Sidney Juniors then defeated the Bridgeport Bombers on July 7 by a score of 10-1, returning to the field July 10 to defeat the Sheridan County Regulators 16-4. On July 14, the Sidney Juniors posted a 6-3 win over the Chadron Junior Nationals Varsity before recording their only loss to date, against Alliance.
