Board of Directors Cancels 2020 Night of Hope

The Night of Hope Board of Directors met Tuesday night, July 28, to discuss this year's event and whether or not it should be cancelled. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that this year's walk has been CANCELLED!

It was a difficult decision, but the board felt that it was the right one to make considering the risks surrounding the COVID -19 virus. The event has some of the highest risk people in attendance and we felt the the risk was too great to leave to chance.

The board encourages everyone to continue to form your teams and look for others ways to celebrate the cancer patients in your life and to honor those who have past. Hold a virtual walk or get together with your team for a small celebration. Luminary posters and slide show entries will still be available for purchase and can be placed in windows or in your yard. The slide show will be uploaded on to Facebook and the Night of Hope website for you to view anytime. Luminary names will be recorded and also available for you to listen to on Facebook. Keep watching this page for more ideas in the days to come.

Night of Hope will continue to be here for the cancer patients in our community to offer them financial assistance when needed. Donations can be made at anytime throughout the year.

The Night of Hope board is always looking volunteers who would be interested in helping to plan the 2021 walk. Next year is full of wonderful possibilities for the community and most importantly, for the cancer patients.
