Sidney Seniors Fall to Alliance 1-12 Saturday, 5-3 against Chadron Friday
The Sidney Seniors have a 7-11 record as of Monday morning after losing to the Aliance FNBO Spartans 1-12 Saturday and the Chadron Senior Nationals Varsity 3-5 Friday.
Sidney Seniors Defeat Sheridan County 10-1, Fall to Chadron 6-1
The Sidney Seniors defeated the Sheridan County Regulators on Wednesday, July 22, by a score of 10-1, following Sidney’s defeat by the Chadron Seniors Nationals Varsity on Tuesday, July 21.
Chadron dominated the game scoring twice in the first inning, neither team scoring in the second or third inning, Chadron gaining two more runs in the fourth, no runs in the fifth, both teams scoring once in the sixth and no runs in the seventh.
Chadron had 10 hits to Sidney’s four.
In seven innings, Sidney had three hits, one walk and two RBIs.
Sidney Juniors Defeat Chadron, Sheridan County
The Sidney Juniors defeated the Sheridan County Regulators 8-4 on Wednesday, July 22.
Sidney scored once in the first inning, once in the third, twice in the fourth and three runs in the fifth. The Juniors entered the game with a fresh win under their belt, having defeated the Chadron Junior Nationals 5-3 in their July 21 meeting. Chadron started the scoring with two runs in the first inning, followed by Sidney earning two and Chadron one in the second. Both sides were scoreless in the third inning followed by Sidney earning one run in the fourth and two in the fifth.
