June M. Cashman

June M. Cashman was born April 26, 1925 and passed away Aug. 31, 2020.

Our dear Aunt Junebug passed away early August 31st following a brief illness, surrounded by her family at home. She was a longtime resident of Scottsdale, AZ and spent summers in Pinetop, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, and their little fur baby Lizzie, and will be resting with them forever. She was a queen, and much-loved...elegant, wise, funny; she missed nothing, could be pointed and prickly, caring, and generous.  And very, very thrifty.  Her home was a showcase, her closet a museum, her table settings legendary.

She was one of 10 children of William and Mabel Gade of Sunol, NE. She doted on her surviving sisters Marge Jones-McClintock and Clarice Heeg and sister-in-law Velma Gade. She loved all her nieces and nephews…Rodney and Jane Hahler, Germaine (Hahler) Clark, Pam Hahler; Marcie (Gade) and Mark Jones, Greg Gade; Bill and Holly Cosman III; Jana (Jones) and Gus Duffy, their children Liberty Woodman and Anthony, and grandson Trent; Jason Jones; Deborah (Heeg) and Bill Brennan, Kristine Heeg, Cynthia Heeg, Bruce Heeg. She is also survived by many loving cousins and great nieces and nephews. They all loved her right back. Other loved ones who preceded her in death include her sisters Patricia Hahler, Doris Folkerts, Evelyn Cosman, and Janet McCormick;  brothers LaVern (Bus) Gade, Clinton Gade and Gaylord Gade; nieces Linda (Gade) Helfrich and Denise Gade.

We count ourselves lucky to have been part of the life and times of this remarkable lady...old school where it counted most...loyal, dependable, thorough,...and up to date in surprising ways...ready with an informed opinion on anything political, medical, financial, or upcoming garage sales. A Zoom memorial will be planned in the near future, a modern touch we think she’d like.
