Sidney’s Lady Raider Volleyball team made the trip up north for the Western Conference Tournament, and it was a successful trip with Sidney winning all three matches against their rivals.
Sidney faced Scottsbluff and lost their only set of the tournament, after taking the first set of the match 26-to-24. Scottsbluff was able to capitalize on Sidney errors to take the second set 25-to-16, but Sidney regrouped and took the third set 25-to-22 for the 2-to-1 match victory.
Against Gering, after a tight first set that the Lady Raiders were able to win 25-to-23. Sidney poured it on in the second set and won 25-to-18 for the 2-to-0 match victory.
Sidney was able to beat Chadron in straight sets 25-to-21 and 25-to-21 for the 2-to-0 match victory, earning the Lady Raiders the Western Coference Tournament championship.
Sidney is scheduled to travel to Chadron on Tuesday to face off again against the Lady Cardinals.
