Wildcats Outlast Bulldogs 46-27

Peetz’s Bulldog Football team lost their third game in a row of the shortened six game season, falling to the visiting North Park Wildcats 46-to-27 Friday night in Peetz.

The Wildcats held a lead going into halftime, then pulled away from the Bulldogs for the win.

The Bulldogs used a balanced offensive attack but had trouble sustaining drives in the first half of the game. The Wildcats took an 8-to-0 lead in the first quarter, then added another six points in the second to go into the half leading 14-to-8.

The Wildcats scored 16 more points in the third quarter while the Bulldogs fought back with 13 points on two touchdowns of their own, but the North Park squad outlasted the Bulldogs in the fourth quarter, scoring 16 more points on two touchdowns to put the game away. Peetz managed a lone score in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to turn the tide, and the Bulldog’s fell 46-to-27, moving their record to 2-and-3 on the season.

Peetz senior Aiden Curtis had a big game in the loss, carrying the ball 12 times for 106 yards and three touchdowns, while freshman quarterback Chance Segelke completed six passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.

The Bulldogs finish the regular season at New Raymer on Friday against the Prairie Mustangs.
