Sidney Awarded $97,000 in Grants
Grants benefit three projects

LINCOLN — Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy Director Jim Macy announced Feb. 5 the award of $6,686,369 in grants to support 144 projects across the state.
The Sidney community was awarded three grants: $ 3,135 for the Keep Sidney Beautiful program to clean up 18 miles in Cheyenne County, $24,857 for Keep Sidney Beautiful to conduct a public education program on recycling and waste reduction for local schools, youth groups and the community, and $69,479 for the City of Sidney proposed 500-ton scrap tire cleanup for Cheyenne, Morrill and Deuel counties.
