Too Busy for God
We Have Time for What We Prioritize

Grandma used to tell me “ the devil rides on an idle horse”, and it’s true, but as I walk in this Christian life, it is clear, he also delights in the “ busy Christian.”
In fact, that is one of the most common statements for Christians these days. I am too busy. “ I would like to spend more time with God, but I can’t find the time.” This isn’t new however, Jesus addressed this very issue in Luke 10:38-42. In the text, Jesus goes to Martha’s home and is teaching.
Martha is so distracted with serving and taking care of everything else, that she gets upset at her sister Mary who is sitting listening to Jesus. Martha tells Jesus “ don’t you care that I have to do all this by myself ? Tell Mary to help me.” Jesus answers “ you are anxious and troubled about many things, but Mary has chosen the right thing for the time, ( spending time with Jesus).
We do a lot of things, good things, necessary things, but let us not forget to put Christ first, He is worth it! Pastor John Snyder famously said “ You can have all you want of God, in fact you all ready do!”
