Red Raiders Third at Kimball Golf Invite

Sidney’s Red Raider Golf team traveled on Friday to compete at the Kimball High School Golf Invitational, and placed third while the Mitchell team placed first and dominated the field, placing all five golfers in the top ten finishers at the end of the day.

Great conditions enabled good play for the golfers, and Mitchell’s Cael Peters paced the filed with a final score of 75, followed by Mitchell’s Austin Thyne with a 78. Sidney’s Asher Wadzinski placed tenth with a final score of 88.

The Sidney team scored a 372, earning them third place, twelve stokes behind second place Bridgeport. For the Red Raiders, Wadzinski and Jaden Dillehay both ended with scores of 88, Logan Johnson scored a 96, John Beier scored a 100, and Trey Douglas finished with a 104.

Creek Valley’s Storm Golf team placed fifth overall with a 416. Ethan Togstad led the team with a 93, followed by Nolan Ortgies with a 103, Eli Schmid with a 107, Seth Wilber with a 113 and Diego Caraveo with a 134.

Leyton’s Warrior Golf team placed ninth overall, led by Trento Rushman and Jason Jensen both scoring 110, followed by Dillon Juelfs with a 111, Chase Rushman with a 123 and Junior Abbott with a 126.

Potter-Dix’s Coyote Golf team placed outside of the top ten, led by Tobi Thompson with a 111, Trevor Williams with a 125, Josh Kasten with a 129 and Bryce Winter with a 144.
