Forgiving

Forgiving others when they have hurt you is difficult. But holding onto the hurt, breeds anger, bitterness and revenge works it’s way in there too.

In Matthew 6:9-12 is the LORD’S prayer, in the prayer it states forgive us our Debts AS WE FORGIVE our debtors, and in verses 14&15 it states IF you forgive men (women) when they sin against you your Heavenly Father will forgive you when you Sin, But in the next verse it says IF you don’t forgive others when they sin against you , your Heavenly Father won’t forgive you of your sin. JESUS when hanging on the cross asked The Father to forgive those who crucified him to forgive them because they didn’t know what they were doing.

Forgiving people who have hurt you sometimes isn’t easy, and I’m saying that what they did was right, but there is NO reason you should be held captive by what was said or done to you, FORGIVING  SETS YOU FREE, not the person who hurt, those people have to live with what they did for the rest of their lives, but you can be free of the burden, by forgiving,

Forgiving brings peace, by saying I FORGIVE sets you free, it doesn’t say you should hang out with that person, or let them back into your life.

It simply says I’M free of all that and I am moving forward with my life with NO EXTRA baggage holding me down.

So don’t you want to be free, First ask GOD to show you who you need to forgive, and start today by saying I Forgive them GOD, it may take you forgiving them everyday for a while, but in the end you are being obedient to GOD, and you will free from that burden you have carried.
