The Sidney Park Project recently received $35,000 in commitments from two local businesses.

The go toward a goal of upgrading the playground equipment at Legion Park.

The goal is to design the playground to promote inclusion, and exposure and exploration through play. The misslion of the 501(c)3 organization is to create a safe space with playground equipment and ground surfaces allowing for all abilities and ages to come together to foster community and pay.

The program is at $85,107 of its current goal of $200,000, according to sidneyparkproject.com.
