Sidney’s American Legion Post 17 Senior Baseball team hosted the Rapid City Post 320 Shooters on Thursday, July 1, for two games at Legion Field. The games were moved to 4 and 6:30 pm after originally being scheduled for 11am and 1 pm starts.

Sam Hashman took the mound for the first game, and put the Shooters down in order in the first inning. In their half of the inning, Reid Fiscus led off with a single, followed by another single by Jakob Meyer. But Fiscus was thrown out at third in a double-steal, and two fly outs ended the inning with no runs scored.
