Creek Valley Falls To Hay Springs, 37-14

The Creek Valley Storm have some work to do to shore up their defense and offense, as they traveled to Hay Springs for their opener and were pushed around and defeated by a score of 37-to-14.

The Hawks racked up 326 total yards and sophomore Gage Mintken ran through the Storm defense for 122 yards and six touchdowns on the day. Senior Logan DeCoste completed 8-of-14 for 157 yards in the air, and the Hawks had three interceptions in the victory.

The Storm were led by senior Lucas Trujillo's 15 rushes for 114 yards and one touchdown. Senior Eli Schmid went 9-for-14 for 65 yards and a touchdown through the air, while senior Kordell Lovitt caught 4 passes for 40 yards and a touchdown. The Storm look to regroup as they host Paxton on Friday in Chappell for their home opener.
