Tough Week for Lady Coyotes

After two straight wins on Saturday, September 25, the Potter-Dix's Lady Coyote Volleyball team followed up with three straight losses on the road to drop their season record to 6-and-12.

On Tuesday, September 28, the Lady Coyotes traveled to Bayard for a triangular meet, and first faced off against host Bayard. The teams battled hard through both sets, but the Lady Tigers were able to hang on and edge the Lady Coyotes in both sets, 25-to-22 for the 2-to-0 match victory.

Potter-Dix regrouped and next matched up with South Platte, but the Lady Blue Knights came out strong and put away the Lady Coyotes 25-to-21 in the first set. Potter-Dix made adjustments and tried to fight back, but the South Platte squad was able to hold their advantage and took the second set by a score of 25-to-17 for the 2-to-0 match victory. victory.

On Friday, the Lady Coyotes then hosted the Lady Blue Knights for a match in Potter, and this time the Potter squad came out strong and put away the visitors in the first set, 25-to-16. But the Lady Blue Knights were able to adjust and win the next three sets 25-to-15, 25-to-19 and 25-to-20 for the 3-to-1 match victory.

The Lady Coyotes look to improve their record when they host Kimball and Bayard on Tuesday October 5.
