Creek Valley's Lady Storm Basketball team finished up their regular season campaign last week, with a loss to Perkins County on Tuesday and South Platte on Friday.

On Tuesday, the Lady Plainsmen came into Chappell for their final contest of the regular season, and started hot in the first period. Seemingly scoring at will while stonewalling the Lady Storm's offense, the Lady Plainsmen went up 23-to-6 and carried that momentum over into the second period, going up 39-to-9 at the half.

The Creek Valley offense struggled to get off shots as the Perkins defense pressured and generated turnovers against the Lady Storm.

Perkins kept up the good defense and coasted through the second half, scoring 24 more points on their way to a 63-to-212 victory.

Creek Valley then had to take on powerhouse South Platte on Friday in Chappell, and again found themselves in a big hole at the end of the first period. The Lady Blue Knights put up 20 points against Creek Valley's seven in the first period, and then battled with Creek Valley to a 27-to-7 halftime lead.

South Platte put up another big scoring quarter to start the half, pulling away and sealing the game for the visitors.

South Platte scored 28 more points in the second half while limiting Creek Valley to just seven points, and the Lady Blue Knight came away with a 55-to-14 victory.

Creek Valley was scheduled to play against Potter-Dix in South Platte on Monday, with the winner advancing and facing South Platte in the Subdistrict semi-finals.
